robberies over the years. They used to be cash only until the owner got shot and finally decided to take credit cards.
Now I'm really trying to give it away, as this narrows it to maybe 40 Columbia restaurants, LOL.

Here is a picture inside the restaurant. You can see the two signs I posted barely in the background.

Now I know this will give it away to many Columbia folks. CA should get it with this pic.
One final hint. If you ate there between 1974 and 2019, one of these two ladies was probably your waitress.

Had two devil's backbone Vienna lager's with two slices of their supreme pizza last night. Was good.
Most people do carry out as the restaurant part with seating is a dark dungeon, but it's good pizza. Definitely unique. You will either love their pizza or hate it. But I think it's some of the best pizza ever. You can buy frozen pizza to take home and cook, but you have to cook it at 500F.
Oh, and get their mozzarella cheese salad too. Also unique.
I have to say, the service last night SUCKED. Again, always ate carryout until we moved across town.

it was always the darkest/worst lit restaurant.
I haven't been there since like 2005. Used to go there a good bit. Over by Fort Jackson.
Glad it's still around.

Still, turned lights WAY up for that pic. Flood in 2015 almost did them in. They're right next to Gills Creek.
I still think they have some of the best pizza anywhere. I've never had pizza like theirs anywhere else.

A young “pizza queen” named Elaine Nolan stands in the kitchen of LaBrasca’s Pizzeria, which claims to be the first restaurant in Charleston to serve slices of the classic Italian dish. In 1955, George LaBrasca Jr., who worked for his family business LaBrasca’s Spaghetti House, traveled to a food show in Chicago sponsored by the National Restaurant Association. Inspired by its exhibit on pizza, he started making pies and hired “pizza queens” to attract hungry customers with samples from the iconic menu. On the Italian side, chianti bottles hung from the ceiling, Effie “Mama” LaBrasca made heart-stealing spaghetti sauce, and folks flocked to the balcony for first dates and proposals. In the other half of the space, which was decorated with Chinese lanterns, diners could enjoy egg rolls and other Asian fare. The enterprising family built an empire of restaurants across the Lowcountry and Midlands, where George LaBrasca Jr. opened a pizzeria in Columbia that is still in operation today.

Which sux because when they're gone I'm not sure who will have the best pizza. They had another location in Columbia once that failed. Didn't know they had one in Charleston.
But the one on Jackson Blvd in Cola is all that's left I think.

Also picked up pizza on weekends for family. As a kid went to the Kmart and Hardees across Ft. Jackson Blvd. Mom shopped a lot on Fort at Commissary and Px.

The only restaurants I remember from my visits to Cola as a kid are Labrasca's and Forest Lake.
Chocolate parfaits at Sunday dinner and fries by the pool are the highlights from FLCC.
