That when Clemson and SC play, they will both be 8-3 and that our game will decide who has the better record. Also says he feels confident that Clemson starts the year 1-2. He laughed when I told him I believe we can go 3-0 to start the season. He says that while we have a great defense that we will be hard pressed to score points.
I got on to another subject- Trevor Lawrence. I told him that Trevor Lawrence was better than Jake Bentley right now. He laughed and said no way and that Bentley will end up being the best QB to ever play at SC. I told him that he didn't even compare to Connor Shaw and there is no way Shaw would have stood on the sideline after halftime during the 56-7 beating last year and sulked like a little girl.
SC fans are really putting a lot of their hopes into Jake.

They are a 13th rated SEC team with a QB that will throw in the towel at the first sign of a beat down. I don't care what kind of a team they have on either side of the ball, when your QB bails and stands on the side lines to watch his team getting punished, the will of the rest of the team is ready to bail and join their leader. That's just the facts, and if you want the rest of your team to fight, put your fearless leader in the locker room, not on the side lines....

Wow! Did this dude have 97 different drugs in his system? There is not a single coach in FBS, that would start Joke Bently over Trevor Lawrence. His own father would make him wash Sunshine's jock strap. Did u inform him that Trevor Lawrence has been described on more than one occasion, by several sites, pundits and "experts" as the best QB prospect they have ever seen. Not only is TL better than Joke right now, he is light years ahead of Bentley. TL is already at a level, Bentley is incapable of reaching.
As for us having trouble scoring????? He bases that on...???? History-- nope. Past performance---not that either. Talent---uhhhhh, nope. Poor OC/bad play calling----sorry thats not it. Offensive line---nah. Skill positions---not even questionable. QB---negative Ghostrider. Lack of experience---not.
So the only way for him to have anything whatsoever to base his statement is: 1. He has a red phone that goes directly to God's thrown. 2 Natural disaster. 3 the opposing team Tonya Harding's our boys like Nancy Kerrigan. 4 a sudden outbreak of ghono siphilistic clamitical elaphantitel gingavitus that wipes out every player, towel boy, gatorade deliverer, Radio and any other orange clad person that can play offense. Are you sure he wasnt talking about his own team? Cause I've flicked boogers further than the 47 yards he threw for against our boys.

Sucks to be them. On Saturday few will be surprised at our game by the end. But they have a tough task with NC State and will most probably lose the bragging rights bowl for this weekend.
I almost forgot that last season Pitt gave them their only chance to win the bragging rights bowl for that weekend but in typical Coot fashion they blew it and lost.

I don't think that being the greatest USC quarterback in history is much of an accolade...I will say that being old as dirt, I do remember how good Jeff Grantz was, but I have a hard time naming any other clucker quarterback since him, with the exception of Skip Ramsey who, along with his father beat the crap out of Carlen at an FSU game back in the old days...Bentley will always be remembered for his daddy pulling him at half time last year, and making McIlwain go out and take the beating his son would have otherwise would have had to take

They have a much easier schedule? They play in the SEC East, one of the worst divisions in college football, and don't even play the best teams cross division. We play in the best or second best division, and play Allbarn OOC.
Since you can't reason with a coot by explaining why they will suck and why we will still be good, try a SOS argument, see if that works.
