So says ESPN.
On paper, Clemson is by far the better team and a National Title contender. On the other hand, South Carolina will struggle for bowl eligiblity, as usual.
I didn't click on the article.....because ESPN's love afair with their CFB cash cow is transparently obvious.
ESPN produces propaganda, not sports journalism.

Sad that Beamer erased the talent gap so quickly using the portal while Dabo stubbornly refuses to use it for years even though he was struggling in recruiting over the last several years . I am sure all you posters that struggle with the truth will call me a coot but losing 2 of last 3 to them and the recruiting rankings and portal class rankings paint a very clear picture to anyone willing to realize the truth and admit it . Oh well all doubt and speculation will be removed in 7 days when we see LSU come in . This game is huge for Dabo and will reveal his ability to prepare and coach a team in todays college football world.

The math just doesn’t add up. I understand “enhanced metrics” use recruiting rankings to qualitatively project bad SEC teams would compete with good teams from any other conference. However, we still recruit better and have more talent than SCar. Not sure what other boost where used except the SEC++ like the FPI.

I think the Louisville and Carolina games will be closer than the projection and can understand the guess at the South Carolina game in Columbia. Last time I checked, projections are like the weather and change, but the games are played on the field not on some computer.

Meh, after LSU there is no real competition until USC. Anything can happen but most of those teams will have to get lucky and overachieve and take advantage of a Clemson mistake or two
