I've watched a lot of basketball this week and one thing I've noticed is the gap is widening between the P5 and the mid-majors. I doubt we see many 14,13,12 seed upsets, if any. But then again, we know how wild this thing can get.

I’ve watched a lot all season from big and small conferences, I expect the opposite.

Who are some the mid-majors you like?

Obviously we all like cheering on the underdog (or mid major)

UNC Wilmington a lot. UC San Diego. High Point. McNeese State. Colorado state.

Grand Canyon again this year. I think there is a lot of older experienced teams, I think NIL and transfer portal have actually made the bigger schools more gettable.

Very chalky first round. The only upsets thus far from mid-majors over P5:
(12) McNEESE over (5) CLEMSON 😏

Not sure I can really call the following an upset because Vegas got absolutely hammered with this result:
(11) DRAKE over (6) MIZZOU

P5 wasn't involved here and the higher seed was actually the underdog
(12) COLORADO ST over (5) MEMPHIS

Sad & Frustrating as Clemson may never live this down, especially when they look back and see the only real upset in the Round of 64 was them. Hopefully, that changes. I've got $ on Liberty tonight. I like Oregon quite a bit but I think Liberty has a decent shot.
