or Syracuse, Illinois, etc....why Clemson folks don't want to be unique is beyond me and has irritated me for years. We are the ONLY Orange and Purple team in the nation and why that doesn't register with folks blows my mind. Orange and Purple IS Clemson, Orange and White or Navy is too #### many others. I love Danny as much as anyone and am old enough to have watched his teams play but the Navy we wore back then was not a Clemson color, period.

How does the cheer go? Orange then White. What is the name of that Clemson sports publication? Orange and White. Now I have no real issue with the purple being a trim color, but it should never, ever be the main color of the football team's jersey or pants.

orange and purple is the school colors and Clemson is the only school that has them....that is something that, to me, should be celebrated...orange is and should always be the dominant color...got that. but our trim should be purple and never Navy blue. White will always be used to....got that. I cannot stand the Navy because we aren't Navy. The Orange/White cheer started in the '70's when we had nothing but that on our uniforms. I went to many games in the '70's and there was talk back then by old timers about that irritating them because Purple was a part of their Clemson life. A lot of traditions started when we became dominant and that happened to be during a time where we were wearing Navy instead of our school color of Purple.

It is awesome. Looks great, get compliments from people every time I wear it. I understand if you don't like wearing purple uniforms, but it's a great complimentary color and one of our school colors. I love it.

How we ever got to navy in the first place is beyond me.
It has always been Northwest purple and I believe was originally called Burnt Orange. I know Northwest purple is right - can't remember exactly the Orange designation.
Now it is called Clemson Orange and Regalia.
Never, ever navy.

what really gets me going is the outright idiocy of saying that purple is a feminine or soft color, etc....tell that to the old timers from way back when Purple was the dominant color and Orange was trim, like my Uncle who was Clemson '55 and has been pissed with the White and Navy trim for YEARS. He wouldn't subscribe to the Orange and White because he was pissed about the name of the paper....and he HATED the '70's unis that were all Orange and White. Like i've said for years and years going all the way back to the '70's, we're the ONLY O and P team in the nation, CELEBRATE IT. Look, everyone knows Orange will always dominate...got it, GOT IT.....but goodness, get over the "ugly", "soft", "feminine", "ghey" color immaturity and realize that O and P IS Clemson, and it happens to be NOBODY ELSE in the nation. Screw conservative, screw fashion color coordination, screw male insecurity about colors meaning masculinity, ram Orange and Purple down everyone's throats as the Tigers are hitting folks in the mouth...... I applaud the baseball team because they've gotten it right under Leggett. They are O and P from top to bottom and have great unis and don't care what anyone thinks.

but you know exactly what i'm referring to....the Clemson fans who think that there's something soft about Purple....drives me nuts...and the players love it. I hate our pants with two orange stripes too...there needs to be purple striping on there too. I'm one of the minority who actually wishes our home unis were orange helmet, purple jersey and orange pants....i'd wear the purple pants on the road with white tops too....Clemson is unique in so many ways yet so many Clemson folks want to look like a bunch of other Orange and #### Navy blue schools.
