my favorite baseball player of all time. loved watching him pitch when I was younger. RV was the only player to get four hits off of Nolan Ryan in a game.

Those who were alive for that know what a big deal that was in the context to the Cold War and how the Soviet Union was perceived by all of us at that time. Those who didn't experience it probably just can't know all of that.

mine was watching Myfavjr. hit his first official inside the park home run in coach pitch baseball this year. no errors. he just hit it where they were not and ran like a Tiger.
