Dabo took us to the top and now he's taking us down. I mean neither as praise or blame. They're just simple facts. There are good reasons for both.
In my view, the two things that can lead to Clemson's rebirth are: 1) dipping into the portal; and 2) figuring out why we're not getting better players. (How and why, for instance, did we have those great years of recruiting great receivers and QBs, but are getting duds now?)
In the end, we can complain about practice and game-day coaching all we want, but the bottom line is this: the real decline and fall has to do with the quality of players coming to Clemson. For the last few years, we're getting mediocre players at key positions. We need to do a better job of assessing high school players and recruiting them.

Obviously!!! But enlighten us and explain how and why the coaching is failing with regard to assessment and recruiting. Be specific.

All those 5 and 4 stars aren’t “duds” it’s poor coaching. The OL still has a ways to go but you can already see improvement in the first game under Luke. High profile programs shouldn’t be “on the job training” we should be pursuing the best coaches to recruit and coach up whoever we have/get.

There may be an issue with evaluation but we have landed 3 #1 QBs that all the other big schools wanted. Hunter Johnson, DJ, and Cade. All were busts but we also got 2 superstars in DW4 and TL16. You just can’t win them all.
Look at Cam Ward… a no star out of high school and he is awesome. Huge get for Miami.
