I quit again and swore I'd never go again... until I got free tickets in 2017 to the ACC Championship game vs Miami. I had never drank at a Clemson game before (it was too important to stay focused to get drink) so I thought maybe that (if I drank) would break up the bad energy. So I drank at a Charlotte bar nearby and met Charlie Whitehurst and we talked for like 30 minutes and I met his entourage and he bought me shots and he gave me some crazy inside stories about the locker room under Tommy Bowden which I will never share and I walked over to the stadium drunk in a pod with Miami fans and they were chanting something negative about Clemson so I just chanted the recent blowout score we had over them (by myself) and the Miami fans around me just laughed and one said "that's fair." My buzz lasted the entire game and we beat the s*** out of them. So I finally killed the streak.
