It is a good match-up. If we can run the ball and hit a few big plays, then I think we have a solid chance.
Having said that, if they can run on our defense, then it will be a long night.

if we can put up enough points to take a lead into the second half, we have a shot. If they are running the ball to protect a lead, then it will be tough.

That's all that most people outside of SC think or remember about Clemson right now. "Clemson? Oh. Weren't they ones that were the ACC champs and undefeated for a while then got 70 hung on them by a very average WV team? What a joke."
Well, LSU is no WVU. They are a legitimately elite team. They're among the big boys of college football. I don't know if we can win. But if we hang tough with them and make it a game, it will be an improvement. A win would be great.

I accept the appellations....But not once, ever, in nearly 50 years since my freshman year have I ever believed or stated that Clemson was going to lose a football game...regardless of our record, our staffs, our teams, our opponents. And I have absolutely no intention of changing that attitude now...Will we defeat LSU? H3LL YES...AND THE ENTIRE COUNTRY WILL SIT UP, TAKE NOTICE AND PROCLAIM: THE CLEMSON TIGERS HAVE ARRIVED!!!

The Tigers certainly CAN win this game, but the defense has to play consistently tough with no breakdowns on missed assignments or horrific tackling. Clemson's offense cannot afford several quick 3-and-outs in either half, because this will be the most physically trying and intense game for our defense for the past two years. Also, a lot will depend on how LSU plays on the offensive end. If they can ram the ball down our throats, and sustain long drives the entire game, it will get ugly. If we can get a couple of quick TD's in the first quarter, and make LSU play catch-up, I really like our chances!

Yes Sir and Yes Sir! Actually lived in Auburn Hills for a while (but have never owned a Chrysler, did have a VW bug once). Eight Mile has improved, but friends in the area tell me there is still a lot of drug activity and carjackings on the city end. I think the TV show is pretty cool, although I'm sure some of it is scripted.

For us to win, we'll need to take care of the ball and have a +2 advantage in TOs. That means the D, if not playing very well, is at least coming up with timely big plays.
The offense will either have to execute a lot better than they did against SCar, or Chad will have to employ a much different game plan.

When our matchup was first announced, I thought we were in trouble. Since, I think we come out inspired and our DT's will do well against the run. Chad is going to get back to business and have a well thought out offensive game plan. Tahj, Boyd, and crew will take care of business.
