you forgot the trademark(R). The university will certainly come after you for damages. You can probably either cut your leg off at the knee, or black it out with a big black box. Either way, you'll have a great story for your grandchildren of why you shouldn't get tattoos...

Seriously, on the risk of being outed on here, my fiance' is an attorney here in Charleston and has made a fairly big name for herself in the past few years. A couple months ago, we were out imbibing and she proclaims she wants a Clemson paw tattoo. "Uhh - okay, well think it over and we'll..." "No - I want to get a Clemson tattoo today. Right now!" She says. So, I tell her there's a place not far from where we were at - we could go talk to them and see. We go in there and she decides she wants not one, but two Tiger paws - one behind each ear. At that point, I kind of step in and try to persuade her against that. "That may not be good for your legal career... You're uhh - you know, in your 30's now. I'm not against a Tiger paw, and I know you're a Tiger through and through, but..." As I've learned with her - there is no arguing her - when she makes her mind up, that is it. So - the guy gives her this whole spiel about how she admitted she'd been drinking, and SC law prohibits tattoos above the shoulder, so he can't do it. She continues to argue that she has been drinking, but she's not drunk (she honestly wasn't). This law is ludicrous and if they can't do it, she'll just go to Savannah... The guy tells her fine, go to Savannah. - but no, she keeps arguing. It's her body, she can do whatever she wants with it - she's argued for people on hunger strike, she's argued for euthanasia, she's argued for blah blah blah... Finally the guy gets tired of her argument and tells us to hold on. He calls the owner, who calls someone else. He comes back a few minutes later and says that if she pays cash, no pictures are taken and she signs some form that they'll do it. We go to an ATM and an hour later, she has two Clemson Tiger paws - one behind each ear.
I figured her dad would kill her (and me) - her boss would hate it and it wouldn't go over with the judges. But so far, she's had no issues - her dad, upon seeing it goes "Yep - that's xxxxx. I knew she'd do something like this sooner or later." Her boss said about the same thing. She's talked to several attorneys and judges, including Scarlett Wilson (our solicitor here in Charleston - also a huge Tiger) and she loved it and said she'd do the same thing. Everyone that knows my girl knows she's diehard Clemson and they all agree that it's her - they represent who she is.
If Clemson is a part of you, no harm in what you did. Good job! You officially are all-in (not that you weren't before)!

She's shown so many people, I figured there's someone on here that knows her - but no, name isn't Shelly. There's an attorney named Shelly in Charleston that also has tiger paws tattooed behind her ears though? If so, that's interesting to know.

I beg your pardon. The pic is a little tilted, but when I am standing straight up, that paw is INDEED AT 1 O'clock!!
Two things I specified before the guy even got started:
1. The bottom of the paw MUST have the traditional scar which it does and...
2. It MUST be tilted toward 1 o'clock
If I was going to do it....I was going to do it right!

So, I'm saying..if you're going get one, it should mean something.
