Agreed WR might not be the best use of portal money right now. Like you said LB, DE and safety would be ahead of WR imo. I think easy E and Gideon D are going to be a good 1 2 punch but might not hurt to grab a good proven RB with year left to play. Just my thoughts Go Tigers!!!

It doesn’t make sense to take a RB. Eziomume is going to be a stud. Davidson & Henderson as well.
That’s 3 really solid backs on the roster.
It would be dumb to attack that position in the portal and risk out on losing those guys due to transferring out, just for a maybe 1 year lease.
DE, LB need to be the first priority.
If they can pickup a known commodity at WR to pair along with Wesco & Moore, it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Especially if the rumors of Ant Williams declaring for the draft are true.

Absolutely loved EZs film in HS but have not seen enough to know how good he is.
However, if was a "stud", he would have played this year. Dabo has no issue playing true freshmen if they are ready.
Maybe he needed a year to develop.

I think a lot of kids are really great RBs in high school but when they get to the college level the blocking seems to be the biggest hurdle getting them on the field early… if a coach can’t trust a guy to block when he’s supposed to or is a liability there it downs matter how good you are. You have to be atleast a decent blocker and I think a lot of kids didn’t have to do it in high school or don’t know the right way, takes a while to learn

Kantor from TNet had a YouTube video sometime ago talking about how slow Clemson is in the portal when we lost out on a couple of OL men last year. Not sure what Pearman does with his time, but other schools seem to jump fast when they see someone they like. Kantor talked about how Clemson wants to build a relationship with these kids to make sure both are a good fit and how that process is too slow. I hope if we do land some kids that they can move a lot quicker than in the past. Would be nice to land some to shut the media up as well as build some depth at key positions.
