Lady on broadcast just said this? My wife says What in the hell do you have to do"?? I mean 35-1. A 1 run loss to UT. Softball experts please tell me we are not a bubble host??

After selection committee turning down Brad we are recognized as perpetual bubble team in all sports regardless of record.
Brad bubble Brownell has infected the softball team.
But maybe we have a chance if we don’t find a way to lose to Sister Mary’s school for the blind down the stretch.

But the softball tournament committee has definitely done some kooky stuff in the past. I remember when Minnesota didn’t host one year despite having single digit losses and being in the top 10 of the rankings most of the year.

Have no idea what they were talking about. Looked up the RPI to check our strength of schedule and all that, we’re ranked 8th in RPI. And ranked 5th. 36-1.

Was it Michelle smith or Beth Mowens. Beth couldn’t stop talking about the perfect game. Even said that Cagle had already had a perfect game just before Brooke walked the girl. Then couldn’t stop talking about the no hitter.

I think everyone is kind of a bubble for a national seed, as there are only 8. Figure the Big 12 will get two with OU and OK St. Then maybe 2 for the PAC in UCLA and Stanford. The committee loves the SEC (though they really underperformed in last year’s tournament) so say they get 2 of 3. That only leaves 1 to 2 more slots so winning the FSU series is pretty critical.
Our girls have done everything they can thus far and are definitely in position for a national seed, but there’s not much room for error with 10-12 elite teams competing for 8 slots.

This is about the 8 schools that get a national seed. The Tigers haven’t played as strong a schedule up until this weekend. They have been slipping in the RPI ranking. The good news is that they have the opportunity to get solidly inside the top 8 with the schedule ahead plus the ACC tournament, but they have to win some games against FSU, VTech, and whoever they meet in the conference tournament. Winning the regular season title will mean the took care of of business against FSU.

The OK St softball stadium was smaller than Clemson last year and this year we added 500 more "berm" seats
