Then people will believe they are legit again. Given the start of the season, and then the 3 ugly loses is a row ... right now its, "even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while".

Bray need to shut his mouth. Everytime he went nuts from the bench today BC either scored a layup or we turned the ball over.

I think we probably all need a little expectation reality check with this team.
The main thing is to secure a solid NCAA tourney bid where we are not having to sweat it out on selection Sunday. Anything else is gravy. Seems to me that our dip in play came right after a huge jump in the rankings....maybe we were not ready for such accolades.
Would rather get accolades towards the end of the season anyway.
Good thing is that we are in a much better position with NET ranking, metrics, etc. than we were last season.
So on to GT....could get back to .500 in conference play with that one.

I think you're right, may have had a lot to do with it.
Clemson is a good team but I don't think they knew how to handle that sort of pressure. Once they were 11-1 and top 15, every team they were going to play after was going to bring their best looking for a signature win. Clemson wasn't ready for that and didn't (still isnt) playing with matched intensity & execution.
I think any good team has to go through these sort of growing pains... yet not every team handles them and that's part of what separates the good from the upper echelon.

Why not the next 15? How is 8 the magic number for legitimacy? I think 8 more ACC wins would put us in a good position, but not necessarily 8 in a row.

You realize that if we did this, we would likely be top 10, if not top 5?

Else, you re a decent team that can win against, on a good day, teams in the middle and lower. We must beat elite teams to prove dance worthy. To eat at the cool kids table. To be paid attention to by the pretty girl and not be ignored at party’s.

Or what? I’d say we can go 50/50 in conference play and still make the dance. Winning either or both of those games would improve our seeding, but our current resume and zero Q4 losses should keep us in a better position vs last year.

We do not drop 3 games in a row and call ourselves good. Occasional game is expected, but not 3 in a row ugly losses. This is not elite.

Worthy for what? What the end game expectation for success?
Hoping we can win too, but want to set our expectations to achievable levels. Wants and needs are separate things.

2 things:
1) Clemson will finish much better than .500 in the conference.
2)You said that would get them into the dance. Zero chance 50/50 gets in. The ACC has some good teams but there’s some real dogs at the bottom.
