We play half’s—perfect half’s and awful half’s. SC plays good games and bad games, nothing great, nothing horrible (aside from Ole Miss).
If Clemson can deliver TWO perfect half’s, this should not be close. But that is a big if. I know Dabo will have the guys ready to go and locked in, just hope it translates to the field, especially with injuries.

I keep coming back to their strength (Dline) vs our injury impacted Oline. Then do the flip side of their ability to run the football vs. our inability to stop the run (especially where option concepts are used). I just don’t see where the Tigers are entering this game with an advantage. Even with Tate and Leigh returning from injury that’s a tough assignment after missing so much time and probably not at even 90% healthy.

SC’s OL is nothing special. Their run game depends more upon QB Sellers’ improvisational runs than from RB Sanders getting great up-front blocking.
Sure, Sanders is a fine RB, but not a drop dead speedster like that Louisville RB. Our LBs are the best they’ve been all season, assuming that Woodaz is full strength in Saturday. S.Brown has improved with each game and with each snap. He’s seen enough and played against enough different offensive formations to be approaching difference maker status instead of adequate fill-in / 2nd teamer status. We now have Dee Crayton equipped to be a legit 2nd teamer / adequate fill-in guy, which is important for giving our first teamer a few snaps off here and there. Top shelf LB play will be the difference maker for us against a pass-weak SC team. We stop the run = we win.

I wouldn’t necessarily call their pass game weak. Their QB has put up between 250-350yards the last 4 games. They were a run heavy/run first team early, but seem more balanced at this point.

Just get ready for the slant routes we have been saving, when they step up to stop we will go over the top to Moore, Wesco & Williams.
Dabo knows to hold out the unexpected for this game, it’s going to be fun to watch as long as we don’t turn the ball over or have more OL injuries.
Cades at home and he keeps getting better at seeing the field, hopefully this is his best day ever!
We will use the hens aggression against them.

What stood out to me was the focus the team displayed in the last possession of the Pittsburgh game.
In that Pitt game, even before the final TD (awesome) it was evident that a switch had been flipped. Seeing this team play “up” for an entire game would be wonderful!
