Clemson-Bama Score Prediction Thread

Jan 4, 2016, 4:01 PM

What do you predict the outcome of the Clemson Bama National Championship Game to be and why?

I say 24-17 Tigers

We "shut down" Henry to a sub 100 yard game (prob around 80 yards)
We force Coker to pass and "lock down" Ridley and put him on Alexander Island
They have some success passing to their tight end.
We make Coker run out of the pocket more than he ever has before with our pass rush.

I just don't see how their offense is gonna move the ball. If we can shutdown Dalvin Cook, Elijah Hood, CJ Procise and Samaje Perine/Joe Mixon, we can shutdown Henry. Coker won't be able to win it with his arm. The defense will fold from always being in bad field position and the offense not scoring any points.

Re: Clemson-Bama Score Prediction Thread

Clemson will shut down Henry. There is no doubt in my mind after watching us dismantle OU's running game, that Bama's is next in line to get de-railed at the Clemson station. DW4 will expose Bama's defense's weakness against mobile QBs, 150 yds on the ground, 225 yds in the air. At the end of the day, Good guys 28 - Gumps 10

GO TIGERS!!! ROLL BAMA OVER

Way to early for predictions! There are to many elements to consider from both sides. This game will be challenging for each team from different points of view.

Jan 4, 2016, 4:41 PM

I think Henry gets some yards (100+ or so?) but not points. Satan goes to passing game in 2nd half (midway through 3rd) getting some late score(s) but to no avail.

Go Tigers!!

Re: 34-24 Good Guys...

Jan 4, 2016, 5:29 PM

I somewhat disagree. I think he will be held in check, around 80 yards and 1-2 scores... He's hard to stop in the red zone, but between the 20s, I think we'll contain him.

Re: Clemson-Bama Score Prediction Thread

I think this game may go a lot like our LSU game did.

Bama starts strong. Maybe carries a 10 point lead for a while then toward the end of the 3rd quarter we start inching back with tempo. Team that shows the guts in the 4th quarter wins.

What we cant have happen is a lot of 3 and outs for our offense. That is the path to doom... otherwise,

Clemson 28
Alabama 27

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

28 - 13 Clemson

Jan 4, 2016, 5:17 PM

That is giving them credit where it's due. I feel like their strength is obviously defense, but I still believe that we average a TD per quarter.

I feel sure that Bammer will score on us also, but their points will come early in the game and dwindle after Coker and Henry get worn down and hit many, many times more than they are used to.

I'm ready to get it going and let the chips fall where they may, both teams can certainly leave it all on the field next week, and there should be no one saying "they didn't want to be there" come Tuesday around midnight.
