Talking 'smack' before games

I dont understand why Clemson players always seem to do this before big games, it always seems to backfire, it has the last two years in the SC game so they feel the need to do the same thing before the GA game, I dont think that GA players need anything to get them fired up and ready they are a high caliber SEC team when will they learn to keep there mouths shut and stay off of social media before games, I feel like Dabo should have taken control of this a long time ago, its not hard to tell your players hey dont talk #### before games, does Dabo have no control or does he encourage this type of behavior

Talking smack like your safety Swearinger running into our pregame QB drills to taunt them? Haha go away before you get reamed a new one.
Also, how can players talk smack on social media when coaches prevent them from using it during the season? You're making yourself look dumb with this as a first post.

First of all I wasnt trying to hate I just dont understand it, second talking #### is different if you can actually back it up, third I thought that daltons statements were over social media if I was wrong I apoligize, but that brings me back to the point of why do they still do it?

Dalton's statements were in an interview. Someone asked him a question and he answered it.
Why does every team talk smack? It's sports, it happens at every level. We used to talk junk in little league for crying out loud. It's competitive and that that's what makes it fun. Who is to say Clemson can't back it up? We haven't won in the last 4 years but not one of those years did we look like a team that couldn't hang with you chickens, you act like you're Alabama playing UAB every November. Clemson outplayed Visor Boy's team in the first half if I remember correctly. But the final score is all that matters.

who has been saying stuff? I follow pretty close, and don't remember seeing much. Surely you don't call Sammy's statements a month ago "smack".
I do remember a coach telling a recruit they would never lose to Clemson again, and then proceeded to drop 2 in a row. Can't remember who that was, though.
