Kids have learned… Clemson will not pay up front. The kids have learned this and so has every other school in America that recruits against us.

We are no threat for any truly top level offensive skill players outside of the handful of kids like Moore/Wesco.

You’re going to see less and less of those type of kids with each passing year. That’s why we’re not after any of the elite QBs anymore and we’ve resorted to 3 star offers like Hebert and Reynolds.

Dabo is quickly tearing down what he built from the ground up bc he refuses to play the recruiting game the way every other school is playing it.

It’s constantly being used against us in recruiting that we won’t pay up front. Which is why we’re getting left behind offensively.

It’s only going to get worse until one of 2 things happen. Either we pray Dabo hangs it up on his own or watch him run this program into the ground over the next 3/4 years before the big wigs at the school finally get tired of watching us get dragged up and down the field bc we can’t score.

We will never win nor even compete for another national championship under Dabo. We won’t ever even get close again.

Would you honestly rather be a UGA fan right now? I wouldn't. It's embarrassing. 41% graduation rate. Players driving so fast they are being killed. Players abusing children.

If we have to do things Dabo's way to prevent these sorts of circumstances then sign me up. I want quality PEOPLE who are also good at football.

Nobody gives a d@mn about graduation rates. Nobody cares about any of that stuff when we’re paying the HC over 11 mill a year.

If we had Tommy Bowden or some other mediocre guy paying 3/4 mill a year then hey by all means but we’re not.

We pay a championship level salary then we expect championship level results.

Of course I wouldn’t rather be a Georgia fan but it has nothing to do with arrests or graduation rates. The only people that care about that are the homers here who use that to point to a narrative with their holier than thou attitude.

The only people pointing to graduation rates are the people whose teams are average or falling off like we are. If we’re just going to be the “good guys” of college football then Dabos salary needs to be drastically cut down.

You don’t pay 11 mill a year for graduation rates. Also last I checked… we just had a kid get arrested for possession. Bro that happens at every school no matter who it is. Kids will be kids and make mistakes. It doesn’t make them a bad person it means they made a mistake which some of yall will crucify a kid over just bc of where he plays football.

You can’t have it both ways bro. We can’t be the good guys and then turn around and throw stones at others who make mistakes. I promise you the main people at Clemson care more about winning than they do graduation rates or arrests.

Whether any of you want to admit it or not… let’s go back to losing to Wake 45-17. Losing to Duke 28-6. Losing to FSU 48-0 or 54-7. Let’s go back to those days and then we’ll see if you still care about graduation rates bc I’ll be willing to bet you won’t care then.

Alabama had one of the highest graduation rates in the SEC while they were winning championships. So, the idea that we can’t graduate players and also compete for national championships is simply false.

I agree with you on some things, but I am not calling these college athletes kids. Maybe freshman can be classified as that but 21 or 22 year olds are not kids. Some of these players are 24 or 25. These are grown ups wanting to make money off their NIL. Then they need to be held accountable for their actions, whether it be Clemson or any other college.

We’re not paying Dabo 11 million to have the mentality and goals of “there are more things important than national championships”. Last time I checked, it was “Best is the Standard” and players used to get pissed that they lost a close game to Bama in the championship game (Ben Boulware). If that will be the future of the program, then cut Dabo’s salary in half, as well as his coordinators, fire the former players that get paid for standing around during football games, and reduce the price of my football tickets.

“ We’re not paying Dabo 11 million…”

You don’t get a vote on this, unless with your feet. By all means, go for it. You probably should anyway if you think ticket prices are going down.

lol the kid is a 3 star. You disqualify yourself from the conversation for comparing him to top level offensive skill players. Not saying he won’t turn out to be a nice player. But Dabo and the recruiting has been fine. You literally named two five star receivers that we just recruited. What 3 star would won’t to come sit behind them. Brown is a sophomore. Moore and Wesco are Freshman. Barring injuries they will see a lot of snaps the next 3 years. Tough to ask a kid to come and sit behind that unless they know they can beat out one of the starters.

We'll have to see how it shakes out. Rumors at the start of the weekend was he did a commitment video, but also hit up Ole Miss on the way home...

TCI indicated "a video" was finalized for a unspecified potential commit that would be in about 10 days and it would surprise many. That doesn't point to Alfred.

That was some talk in vague terms early on Saturday. I didn’t hear of any uncommitted WR other than Alfred at the cookout. Things apparently went south with Alfred headed to Ole Miss.
