I'm not a native Carolinian but I learned to love the unique foods of Carolina's coastal plains. Those of you born in this great state should understand there is rich history and food in Carolina that you can't find anywhere else.
Also whole hog bbq with vinegar sauce is the best.
Here's to good food and good football, and unclogged toilets.

Personally, I like the upstate BBQ without the vinegar the best but I’ll eat both just-a-smiling.

Yes Striper, but you have to admit "chicken bog" and "perloo" have a certain ring to them that is unique to Carolina

there is nothing better than a good duck and dove perloo with some andouille sausage. It's almost as good as hunting the critters!

I love a good chicken bog and BBQ, but there's just something about catching a mess of catfish, preparing them by hand, and frying them up outside. Throw in a few cold beers, and you have the makings of the best food imaginable.
