If you're going to make some, roll the dough fairly thin.... no more than 1/2". They're better when they're cooked through.

Had to go to a funeral last Friday in North Charleston. Had gooey pie and cake Friday night at family gathering. Got up and had biscuits and gravy at Crack Barrel. On the way back to Jacksonville Saturday night I told the wife let's stop in Savannah, spend the night then hang out on Sunday.She said OK but she wanted to go to Lady and Sons for supper. So I'm sitting there eating one of Paula Deen's cheese dough bomb biscuits, chicken and dumplings and ooey gooey butter cake and the thought crossed my mind that this is not gonna go well with my 69 year old digestive system. I am feeling better this afternoon but the restroom at the Racetrac station in Orange Park will never be the same.
