"New" 70s classic rock song of the day, Heart, "Sing Child"

Stumbled on this one a couple months back when I was listening to Heart albums on Spotify. This was from their first album in '75, Dreamboat Annie, called "Sing Child." I've no idea why I'd never heard it before. Killer 70s rock song, with amazing guitar solo and flute solo, and of course, Ann's vocals. I never realized how well she could play the flute - reminiscent of Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull. There's a live version online where Nancy plays some killer harmonica, too. These ladies are far more talented than most people realize. Far more than their 80s hits indicate.

Check out "Cook With Fire" and "Mistral Wind" by them.

And "Dream of the Archer". They are monster talents, and the original band with Derosier, Leese, Fisher, Foster backing them was pure power. I saw them in '79 in Columbia, and from a pure rock standpoint, it is probably the best rock show I've ever seen. Ann's voice is on Rushmore and Nancy is a phenomenal rhythm and acoustic player. One of the best rock bands of all time. Mike Derosier, the original drummer, is the closest I've seen to Bonham from a rock drumming standpoint. A criminally underrated band.

Obvious rip of Zep’s Heartbreaker.

They were good though, but unfortunately, not timeless.

I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message.

It's no secret they have a pretty deep respect and like for

Led Zeppelin and Robert Plant. They could do a lot worse for a major influence.
