How many non-seniors are we going to lose to the draft?

Obviously Cam is gone with how high he’ll be drafted and I’m guessing one of the high school recruits won’t make it to campus, but will we lose much more than that? What are the draft prospects for Darden or Jarrell? It seems like they’d both draw some mlb interest but another year might improve their stock

Probably just Cam.***

Cam is def the only mlb talent on this team.. and to be honest I think he would make more money coming back for another year and having a better year and proving his arm is ok bc he won’t play the OF with his arm like it is in the bigs.. too much of a liability. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him fall a little but still first round , just think he could be a top 5 pick if he came back.

Hard to improve on a 1st or 2nd round pick.

He may end up in LF or at 2nd base though. Either way the bonus is enough to leave.

From what iv seen this year he can play any OF position in the bigs right now, maybe if he gets whatever is up fixed , and moving to second base imo is a waste of an athlete … he could do it but he is WAY too good of an outfielder. You don’t see guys making the plays he makes with that type of ease very often. He’s def an OF but I haven’t even seen him make a throw that makes me think he’s healthy enough to make the throws a 2B makes at that level
Either.

CF or LF, not RF. 2B in MLB are great athletes.

Cam could be another Biggio or Altuve and he was a SS when he arrived at Clemson. I do agree that his range and speed is a tremendous asset in CF, but to play CF in the bigs he absolutely has to improve his arm strength.

If I remember right he came in as a SS so 2B wouldn’t be too foreign for him. Hopefully, whoever drafts him will give him a chance to let his shoulder fully recover

No he wouldn’t, college seniors lose all leverage in contract negotiations.

I’d say we’re pretty safe from anyone playing Major League Baseball.
