"the average person is an idiot". I used to think he was just racist, misogynist, or just a overall bigot. But the older I get, the more I understand, he was right.

Now unlike my dad, I don't think the average person is an "idiot", but I do think the average person is "ignorant". There is a difference. An idiot knows what they're doing. An idiot posted that YouTube video. The people who believe it, and repost it, those people are "ignorant". Most are generally "good people", they just don't know any better.

But it is what it is, until we elect a true leader, and cast aside politics for the OVERALL public good, we will suffer more and more as leadership quality declines further and further. Nothing new is happening here. Misinformation, lies, and flat out propaganda have always been around. The internet just provides a medium to make it infinitely more effective, and much more quickly.

Sad thing is there is SO MUCH work a "good leader" could do now, that's NOT BEING DONE because we have bad leaders.

One thing, make social media giants, Google, Apple, ALL OF THEM, make any internet publisher of information subject to the same rules and regulations that MUST BE FOLLOWED by the nightly news, newspapers, magazines, and traditional media. PERIOD. Should have been done YEARS ago, only reason it wasn't was because more $$$$ could be made peddling lies.

Second, end agricultural subsidies for anything metabolized as sugar in a human pancreas.

Third, force Congress to pass and enact term limits. If they refuse, organize an Article V convention of the states to get that done. ALSO force a balanced budget amendment, through the same process if necessary.

Shorten patent times for prescription drugs, lower it to 5 years.

I can go on and on and on with things ANY PUB OR DEM could do to help the country. But posting a fake video of a fake encounter between some news talking head and the White House talking head, serves NO GOOD PURPOSE.
