That looks an awful lot like a Nazi salute. That's exactly what it looks like, and I can't say it's not. It's a terrible look, at best.
Here's what I know about Musk: He's the world's richest man, he's brilliant, he owns Tesla and X and SpaceX, and he's a huge Trump supporter who says some controversial things. None of that makes him a racist or a white supremacist. I know haters won't like it, because they hate and they WANT him to be a racist/Nazi/White supremacist so they can feel justified and revel in their hate, but even this Nazi-like salute doesn't make him any of those things. And no, I can't explain it, but neither can you, and that doesn't make it so either.
As he is a public figure and businessman who is so involved in our politics, I agree an explanation and accounting is in order, and I look forward to hearing it.
