Two interesting things I have learned about the trial...

there are members of Maggie's family sitting on the defense side, and none on the prosecution side. None of them are supporting the prosecution.

Also, a lawyer friend of mine is claiming she got a scoop and that the snapchat video Paul took shows his dad wearing a dress shirt and slacks shortly before the time the prosecution says the murders happened.

Now, if true, I can't imagine why the prosecution would not mention that in their opening. Maybe there is an evidentiary issue with the video and they think it may not come in?

The family was assigned to sit on that side.
Witnesses and press were assigned to other side.

Also, Murdaugh claimed he tried to move his son, stopped and checked for pulse on both bodies.
But his clothes were pristine clean when police showed up.

Cell line evidence is the interesting part

I’d imagine that if the cell phones were pinging, they should have geo-located the three phones for Alick, Maggie and Paul within a few seconds of each other. What is Alick’s phone doing in that window?

That said having worked west of 95 in Colleton County, I can attest to the fact that there is no solid cell signal in many areas, it is just dead.

Like a change of clothes during opening. Which means they aren’t sure they can prove that. Which is weird if there is a video.

If he's in a dress shirt and slacks right before going to visit his mother, why the costume change before the cops show up and where are those clothes. I think we're in the boring part of the trial right now, introducing physical evidence that doesn't seem to explain the "who" part yet. Maybe more interesting next week.
