Not really worried about the secondary just wondering kind of how the depth chart will look going against UGA I know Terrell Barnes and Mickens are all back there is it Shelton Lewis and Corian Gipson or am I forgetting someone?

Hate to say it but I'm a little concerned about out secondary, didn't look up to par against Kentucky

We had starters move on prior to the UK game

Wiggins and Makuba on the backend. Ruke and Trotter(qb of D last year) also not there. UK is hardly the game to judge the D - communication was obviously going to take hit. IIRC believe one of those TDs was on obvious blown -no PI call. They got another TD on KR. This unit has time to practice together as starters now and get comms down headed into UGA. UGA has to work in new guys on O which requires the same work. Believe Lewis and Barnes both had big moments in the UK game. Terrell looks ahead of his brother at this stage. We’ll see if we get Lukas back near term as he was also out end of season last year. Not really concerned about this unit over course of the season. Game 1 there’s going to be mistakes on both teams on both sides of the ball. Just hope to minimize and have fewer big ones.

Depth and experience may be a concern early on. I think Gipson and Feagin will end up playing especially if Lukus can’t stay on the field. Looks like he is going to be one of those what could have beens. Hope I’m wrong on that but the kid stays hurt. If you can’t practice you can’t play. I think the front 7 will help out as well if we can pressure the qb it will help the young corners.

If S. Lewis and/or J. Lucus can't go, that is a MAJOR concern opposite Terrell. GA only has the best QB in the country, so that side WILL be exposed! People who try & downplay this, or act like we've got quality depth there...... we don't!! At least not yet. 3 freshmen look promising but they will hardly b ready on 8-31. May need to possibly slide K. Barnes over to CB. At least the moment won't b too big.

due to injuries. Kentucky keyed in on him early and other teams will do the same. Would like to see Corian Gipson apply some pressure to that CB2 position, but I have a bad feeling that we will stack his talent behind Terrell instead of giving him a chance to challenge at the other corner. Terrell will be fine, so will Barnes, Mickens, and Griffin.

We had safeties WAY out of position against KY as well, due to injuries & opt-outs. It was 1 of the worst secondary performances ever!!

I'm worried about it now with the 2 injuries to the starters....hope at least 1 makes it back in time for 8/31.

Venables will be back. As a 5th yr, I would hope he would add depth at safety.
