Perhaps he simply feels more comfortable moving to another crime ridden city like D.C.

I have spent plenty of time in Orangeburg through the years and this makes me feel very safe when travelling through the rest of the state.
With that said, I have also been to Columbia and have never seen the same level of crime in Orangeburg as there is just on Two Notch Road. They should consider a re-rank.

They go by per capita so you do see West Columbia is on that list. Another site ranks Columbia the 4th best in SC to reside in.Greenville #3.They are probably looking at housing costs etc.

folks over the years have wondered why any kid would want to visit a school tucked into the backwoods of South Carolina like we are. I know one huge crowd questioned the thinking of C.J. Spiller's commitment some years ago.
Coach Beamer is striving mightily to rebuild his program, and I'd be willing to bet he and Dabo Swinney have had a lot of private chats behind the scenes about his efforts. So, if a five star decides to visit our Capital City, then so be it. I'm not surprised, expect to see more of it, and fully expect our fine, feathered fiends to land them every now and then.

hartins®, I think I was one year behind you at RHHS when it was the only show in town. The feathers were deep in those days and they got many of our good players. A resurgence of the chicken is about due and does not surprise me.

Pardon me for nitpicking, but to state a resurgence is due implies that they have “surged” previously. I must have been napping when that occurred.

They beat our Tigers in 2022 is one answer

SCU picked up a QB in the portal, and Beamer played his top QB in the Palmetto Bowl. Tiger coaching staff was cozy and comfortable, coasted and lost the game. Now these h.s. recruits do not spend all day and all night analyzing cause and effect. Frank Beamer told the recruits his Chickens are on the upswing and Clemson is on the downswing. Beamer said look at the SC-TN, SC-Clemson, and Clemson-TN games and used them to back up his case.
Things changed in Tiger Town and with Dabo after the season. A new story will be written in 2023 much more favorable to the Tigers.

According to Ohio State’s insiders (and I think most recruiting analysts in the know), this is a South Carolina and Ohio State battle. I dont think anyone has a firm grasp on where he is going. Supposedly both staffs feel pretty good about where they are. Him visiting SC is probably a bad sign for Ohio State as there is some kind of event this weekend that he is not attending. NIL is complicating things a lot this year. Seems like insiders have less of an idea about where recruits are going these days. And it seems to be fluctuate a lot.

Runner up in the SEC East just means more. You probably get a ring and a trophy for that.

Since this article he has been CBd to OSU. They aren’t so confident in landing him anymore and have lost a grip on Paylor out of NC who is trending to NCST. Give Beamer credit for doing a great job in the DMV area. From what I understand he’s got some connections and the main reason they landed Harbor. That and Harbors GF was going to SC.

Colonial Life Arena on one of these hot days, and it will come to you. I got stuck in a traffic jam there recently, and there were so many scantily clad good looking wimmins Coots walking or running by, the traffic jam wasn't so bad.
Now, they were obviously somewhat mentally deficient, but still pleasing to the eye in a trailer park sort of way.
