It will be tough bc they are at capacity with what 15 or 16 OL on the roster.

It was posted on here this morning that we reached out to Bamas center who made several bad snaps the other night. Have no idea how much interest there is or how good he is….

This is a lazy take as most all are here on the portal. We missed on two yes… the kid from Memphis and the kid from D2. If these are considered big time proven ok. The rest of the big time guys transferring from major colleges requires deals we can’t afford. Not sure who listened to MP show this morning but he asked Strelow (who knows more than anyone here on the inner workings) said his best guess NIL deals for our best players were maybe 300k.
Newsflash for all here… we are buying any top portal player for that and the top players in the portal aren’t interested in coming here for fun.

this is actually a "lazy take".
To assume Clemson is only "good enough" for the "bigtime guys" is a holier than thou mindset that the fanbase has fallen into the last 4ish years during our slide. Newsflash, we're not AS TALENTED AS WE USED TO BE. You can't tell me that there aren't some portal players from smaller schools that we couldn't afford and others can. EVERY SINGLE FBS team in the country (with the exception of US and the academies) are able to identify and land portal players that are impactful to THEIR TEAM. We are not talented enough (offensively anyway) to only think we can only use the elite of elite anymore. It's Dabo's mindset and approach that has us "behind the times" b/c he's butthurt at the landscape and direction of College Football............and I agree with him, but unfortunately it's........adapt or die.

these new coaches are going to make these guys play like men or they are out .
it all started with the Breese class . like they never actually sacked QBs and every QB opp looked like a Heisman candidate .

There were a few guys that we were supposedly targeting, but they all ended up going elsewhere. Penn State, Georgia Tech, and I forget where else.

tough on that group with a greater sense of urgency and opportunity with a new position coach. Once Coach Luke has worked with them for a Spring, he should have a better idea of what he has and what he needs. The Portal is open the second half of April when Spring Practice is finishing up.

Dabo tried but other schools bought the players out from under him, which is illegal. Look at the portal list of players and how fast they are committing to their new schools. There is a whole lot of tampering going on right now.
