Can we finally step it up in basketball this year?

All this talking, all these players, all this hype.
Can we finally begin to climb up the relevance ladder this year and do something real?
We’ve gotten through all of our games so far, so I credit that.
But we’ve got Alabama on the road at 9:30 tomorrow and some very tough games coming up as well.
I don’t think losing some of these hard games will completely screw us this year. So I’ll try to relax about the outcome tomorrow night. But obviously we cannot lose to teams like Radford or South Carolina.
I just think the Clemson fan base is growing more impatient every year with this. Especially as football has slipped (on the come back though).
I’m just ready for something to spark consistency with Clemson basketball. Not just have one year like 2016 Sweet 16 and be done for the next 5 years.

Will learn a lot about this team on Tuesday night. Will be tough to win on the road at Bama we should have a shot.

We certainly have a shot. As long as we're competitive I'll take that. As Roy said, we'll lose some games, that's bball. We have a really good team this year. NCAA should be a gimme. I think we'll win the acc.
What happens next year? Continue success. We are recruiting better and imo, the new assistants are making a difference.

to describe a person or group who have sat through 13 years of mediocrity. That's ridiculous and personally offensive.
The "One More Year" crowd has been saying the same thing since 2014. It really shouldn't matter what happens this year.
If you are unable to make a negative decision about a "nice guy", just simply unable, then understand that your opinion is worthless. Not everybody is equipped to be a good decision maker.
It is what it is.
I hope that the team makes the NCAAT this year. I hope that we fire Brownell even still. It's past time.

Well, Alabama is #2 in NET right now. A loss to them would likely not be damning to the cause. And the upcoming games vs #27 TCU, #22 Memphis might not be so bad even if we lose.
We're at #67.
At least so far we haven't lost to
#250 Winthrop
#39 UAB
#145 Davidson
#34 Boise State
#245 Alcorn State
The Boise St and UAB wins are actually pretty good wins, at this point in time.
We're going to have to avoid dropping games to
#235 SCAR
#173 Radford
#202 Queens
In conference, any losses to Boston College (#166), Ga Tech (#177), FSU (#220), Louisville (#314), Syracuse (#121), Notre Dame (#184) would all be harmful.

when we are undefeated and have beaten two top 40 NET teams? One of those 2 wins was on a neutral court.
Last year our NET couldn't seem to move late in the year as it was claimed the NET ratings were based on the early season results. I hope the same isn't true this year and we languish in the sixties all season due to the November results no matter who we play/beat later.

I just compared the "Updated Nov 27, 2023" data to the Apr 2023 final computations.
Apologies for my being misled by the "Updated Nov 27, 2023". Apparently the only things updated are the current records and next game column.
