Can we ever admit that we were wrong about

DJ Uiagalelei? right now he is #7 in QBR of the country and with this many games played we kinda have to stop saying it is because they "ain't played nobody" which is the perennial cop-out excuse made by just about every fan everywhere when someone gets ranked higher than their team/player.

I will say, I guess he was right and Clemson was not the right system for him.

I'm not sure he can give a different response. I think he just copies and pastes the same thing and he will give an "lol" when he's called out on it. He probably has never actually seen a real football game.

Watch DJU in this game. Watch SH1P in this game

It's awfully hard to play offense when your WR room is shorter than 6foot. And you RB gets 1-3 yards a play

But somehow it's always the QBs fault.

OL was atrocious in this game. If UGA started Stetson, we lose big time.

Nope. Let it go. Jeez. It's over and done with. We have the better of the 2 QBs anyway.

Yes, I can admit it
Now the rest of Clemson maybe not

But I hope Dabo and staff see it.
Looks like DJU was not the problem.

And I wish I could have a 30minure off the record conversation with the new OC and Jeff Scott.

Something is not right behind the scenes of Clemson football.

DJ's 2023 Stats through 6 games:

92/152; 60.5% Completion; 13 TD / 4 INT

DJ's 2022 Stats through 6 games:

122/190; 64.2% Completion; 14TD / 2 INT

Through our 8-0 start last year, DJ boasted numbers on par with DW4 and TL16 YTD and was on Heisman watch lists. Somehow or another with the spotlight back on and expectations through the roof, the wheels fell back off. Hoping he has overcome that issue now, but time will tell.

Thank you for pulling out actually statistics!! DJ scored 51 points vs Wake last year…same exact number he did this weekend. Clemson fans see what they want to see…whatever fits their narrative that week. He hasn’t done anything this year that he didn’t do last year…only difference is I bet their “fans” don’t boo him while he’s winning a game.

Yea he looked great last year at times in the 1st half of the season. Absolutely lit up Wake's defense. Then he looked lost at Notre Dame (honestly most of the team looked lost that night).

When he gets drafted and cut from the team before the...

season starts I will be vindicated on my insistence that he will never suit up on Sunday.

Oct 9, 2023, 10:33 AM

I'm not sure about the NFL.

I think MLB would be a great move for him.

Watched him play multiple times this season

Game manager QB, not athletic, he has a great team around him this season

I would not want him as my QB1. QBr is absolute horse crap at times as well

Re: Can we ever admit that we were wrong about

Oct 9, 2023, 11:15 AM

How were we wrong? He was playing terribly and got benched and his replacement finished the game playing lights out. Then DJ decided to leave. Didn't even finish the season. Its not like he was thrown off the team or otherwise mistreated. He did play much better last season than the year before so it shouldn't be a surprise he'd improve again this season. I'm happy for him but stop with the revisionist history.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

There were a lot of fans putting it all on DJ

Oct 9, 2023, 11:18 AM

Which if you have any objectivity at all then you’d see that was wrong.

Cade is having the same type of TOs DJU had and less numbers.

The issue I don’t think is all Cade either. It’s got to be more complicated or the coaches would have just gone to Helms by now.

As far as I’m concerned, DJ has only had one game over 70% completion percentage. The other ones frankly look exactly like the stats he’d post at Clemson against inferior teams. About half of his passes completed, with about 200 yards. Does barely enough to win. Until he faces USC, Oregon, Washington.

And no, he did not play week against Washington State nor Utah.

This is the final time..

The fault was never 100% DJ. There were so many offensive scheme and execution problems, that it’s taking this long to fix it.

However, can you ever admit that DJ looked like dog sh** at Clemson?

How about the lateral toss TD at Pitt in 2021? What about the Georgia pick 6? What about all of the simple missed throws?

If you want people to say that DJ wasn’t a problem, think again.

Maybe Oregon State’s offense works better for him.

Wed be lying to ourselves

Oct 9, 2023, 1:04 PM

But if DJ finally corralled the snakes in his head, good for him! I wish him success.

Re: Can we ever admit that we were wrong about

If DJ was the only problem, we'd be sitting at 6-0 right now. He wasn't the right fit for our offense but he also didn't deserve all the blame either.
