Can we clarify portal language?

If we offer a player that is in the portal, and they don't like us, we didn't LOSE A PLAYER IN THE PORTAL. It was just portal MISS.

If one of our own players leaves us and enters the portal, then we have LOST A PLAYER TO THE PORTAL.

You can't lose something you never had.

That is all.

I tried to explain this very thing to some of our “fans” earlier today. They did not accept my premise as they want to make a big deal out of our lack of portal signees to support their narrative. Based on their way of thinking, I lost both Christy Brinkley and Raquel Welch even though I never met or spoke to either.
