Busted coverages are very costly, no matter when they occur, but especially in a NC game. Still, those things will happen. There is no excuse on poor Special Teams coverage. That is what cost us the NC, as much as anything, and it was a flaw all season. We just were able to overcome it until the AL game (and they did get a huge break with the perfect execution result on the onside kick).

Cain is banned from practice with the team due to sanctions Dabo imposed at the Bowl Game in Miami. He is at the practices, and he does workout after the practices (thanks to DW), but he must get that on his own. That is his punishment, and he is paying the price and handling it like a man, IMO.

Powell and Cooper could really add depth to the secondary. I'll let you read into that but if they win their 2 deep jobs in Fall something will happen.

I'm not an expert here by any means so I'm asking,

not "questioning"....
Why is Wilkins at end? Are we just cross-training him? Or will he move there due to awesome Lawson and Dodd being gone? I liked seeing Wilkins blowing up Cook in the middle last season and I'm worried the middle won't be as good. Any enlightening answers welcome...again, I'm just asking someone smarter than me about this stuff...

The answer is Carlos Watson, Scott Pagano, and add Dester Lawrence and some redshirts and another mid year DT... Without Christian Wilkens inside we would be awesome and have 2 experienced starters at DT. We have 2 DEs with experience, not sure is either has started, if one of them go down Christian would be starting at DE and likely will in the spring game. We moved a corner to safety this spring for same reason... we need experienced depth at DE and safety. Depending on what the opposing O likes to do playing with essentially 3 DTs might give some opposing O coaches some headaches especially when Christian is as fast as some DEs and LBs they will play against. He has better feet that some of our RBs, TEs and WRs... He also kicks field goals... he is an athelete... He might could play Mike

Here is a good chart for seeing talent on the team. We have no junior nor Senior DEs. We have one Senior DT, one Junior DT and 3 sophomore DT, 2 RS DTS and 2 early enrollee DTs and Dexter Lawrence will play this year. Albert Huggins and Christian Wilkins both played last year and both wanted to play some at DE.
