Cade having fun?

Dec 26, 2022, 10:53 AM

Looks as if Cade has fun winning...something the rest of us do also!

Scar and ND games were zero fun for Cade!***

He was given the opportunity to win the job versus ND.

Dec 26, 2022, 12:12 PM

He didn't get it done, because he wasn't ready.

He was put in a horribly bad position with horribly bad play calling, but ok sure.

I think that's true, and I also don't think he was ready either.

Absolutely. DJ got three quarters almost to stink it up. He gets one series in no man’s land. At least give him a shot under a normal field position situation.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Why is that "no man's land"???

Dec 26, 2022, 10:03 PM

Any ready QB knows to not throw late, across your body, then into the middle if the field. Field position had absolutely nothing to do with his error.

He wasn't ready.

Agreed TS. You throw him in the fire, let him continue after a kickoff with a fresh set of downs and decent field position.

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

His mistake nothing to do with field position. Nothing at all.

Dec 26, 2022, 10:09 PM

I'm 100% sure Cade would take full responsibility for his decision. Would it have been different if he made that decision from the 30 or whatever? No, not at all.

You guys giving Cade a pass based on field position aren't seeing this correctly. Let me know if you want to see the head coach's comments on it as well.

Field position had no impact on his decision.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I disagree. It was his terrible decision on that INT, and his only.

Dec 26, 2022, 10:01 PM [ in reply to Re: He was given the opportunity to win the job versus ND. ]

If he's the QB we all want him to be, then starting deep in our territory should be no different than any other series.

And too, if that was too stressful for him, then chucking him in the game late down by one and absolutely needing a score, well, the far more stressful then coming in in your own territory.

By the way, the playcall was not to throw late, across his body, into the middle of the field. That was all on Cade, and that's why he sat back down.

Um, can you at least try a rebuttal?

Dec 26, 2022, 10:05 PM

Otherwise you failed.

Our head coach said exactly the same thing I'm saying. Cade's very poor decision cost him the opportunity to win the job. It's just as simple as that.

But yeah, I guess you think Dabo is an idiot too.

Great rebuttal, bro.

I think Dabo was trying to say, don't let negative thoughts get in
your head.Enjoy bowl game and don't worry if you make a mistake.
It's a bowl game and Cade is still learning.

What I am going To enjoy most in the bowl game is the new quarterback ability to lead this team to a very, very big win. He could not have done this in September but four months of coaching has put him in an excellent position to show his talents. A storybook ending to a very, very good football team that likely will finish in the top five. I can live with that. Go Tigers

I've seen them play like a "very, very good team" once this year (last game, if you're wondering). Hope we see it again this Friday.

The only game I thoroughly enjoyed for the past 2 seasons.***

starter. Seeing as how this is Cade's first college start, and it's against our best competition of the season and our biggest game, yeah, I hope he's taking that to heart. Go out there, have fun, and ball out. I don't get the drama here.
