Cade Klubnik hypothetical season scenarios

Let’s run some hypotheticals here… •If Cade wins Heisman but doesn’t win a national championship where does that put him in the pecking order with DW4 and Trevor •If Cade wins the national championship but not the Heisman where does that put him? •AND IF he does both somehow does that mean he would be considered the new greatest Clemson player/QB?
-Now obviously some of this depends on Cades stats but just go with it
Ps for all the superstitious people that hate having these conversations before a season because it can ruin something I apologize but I thought it would be a fun discussion.

He'll always be behind DW and TL based on his first 2 seasons. 1 great year doesn't equal 3 great years.

Cade needs to win a Natty and a Heisman to be in the conversation! But I sure like Him!

I think it is unlikely that he will ever jump Tlaw and DW4 but not impossible. I can see him jumping over those 2 if he has one of the best seasons a QB has ever had. He could also jump them if he ends up having a more successful NFL career than Trevor or DW.
But for now it’s a wait and see.

Case in point Joe Burrow. He was basically a nobody before his senior season but after his last season he became CFB great and is having a fantastic NFL career.

I agree with you. I always view Deshaun and Trevor as more 1a and 1b. Who is #1 is really more about who you're talking to, it isn't cut and dry. Cade has a chance to be in the discussion and be the 1c guy or a very clear cut #2 all time, but he'd need to have an insane year to completely pass those other guys in everyone's mind--like undefeated, national champs, Heisman, 50+ total TDs, just rewrite the record books type of season.

Longevity standing, it'd be hard for him to fully surpass DW or TL. Honestly, I think it's going to take someone a DW/TL effort + 2 natties to overtake them.
However, he could have a Joe Burrow kind of year and put himself into the conversation as a clear #2 or 1C

This may be a different twist. First off, Cade didn't have the weapons or oline, and certainly not the D that either dw4 or tlaw had. At least not the first year. Cade played scared imo until late season last year... what I mean, he held the ball too long instead of being comfortable his receivers were going to catch it, and/or run the correct route.
If he wins both - definitely greatest player If he wins natty - 1 imo Wins Heisman and no natty - yay but Boyd level
I don't think we win a natty last year but I do know if we had the 16 or 18 D , we would have played for one.
TLaw imo is the best QB we've ever had and may ever have. TL could have played pro his freshman year. TL was unlucky. Not only was lsu an NFL team, burrows played perhaps the best game of his college/pro career. He dropped dime after dime. Neither of the other 2 could have gone pro as freshman.
Yes, vague , but I honestly believe you have to look at the entire landscape to determine your answer.

1. DW 2. TL ….. CK
Deshaun’s Heisman loss to a end of season spiral where Lamar Jackson through as many picks as TDs once he had the votes sewn up was a travesty.
Personally I put DW4 slightly above TL because DW4 did more. Numerous times DW4 put the team on his back and won us shootouts, and didn’t have as good as a defense as TL on the other side of the ball either. TL was part of the most dominant team we ever had, and a great quarterback, but he didn’t have to face (and overcome) anywhere near the same amount of adversity as DW4

He can win both and he'll still be third.

like Deshaun and Trevor did.
I am not to the point yet where I trust Cade in the big moments.
If he wins the Heisman and/or a national championship he will certainly be in the conversation for best Clemson QB though.
