Which means absolutely nothing considering Oregon was just a 10 point favorite over Washington. WE were a 12 point favorite over Duke. What are you trying to argue?

With Jordan Travis I think FSU has a very good chance to beat Bama. With the 2nd string QB, I'd give Bama a 4-6 point edge.

You made this conclusion about their backup QB after reviewing…*check notes*… 4 quarters of watching him play? This is the same drivel the committee is trying to throw out there. I guess we should start giving the Heisman out after the first game since that’s all that’s needed.

They decided Lamar Jackson was the Heisman winner after his famous leap in the 3rd game of the season then, finished at 9-3 while Deshaun Watson went on to win a Natty. Heisman was announced before the Championship game

Just goes to show you that Clemson has fans who judge CFB teams based on their reputation instead of the body of work that they produce during the season.
FSU’s defense, pre-opt-outs for a bowl game, is comparable now to Georgia’s. Easily better than TX’s and Auburn’s.
Bama is nothing special on offense.
Regardless of what had happened to Travis, FSU earned the CFP spot; Bama was given it. Bama QB Milroe could get hurt on first play of a game against FSU. He could also be out of the game if he had a bad case of the flu, or simply play especially poorly if he were sick.
For the above reasons, it is BS to deny the team that earned a CFP spot, instead of being given a Psrticipation Trophy based on their play during 2021 and prior seasons than on their play in 2023.

Well I guess we shouldn’t even play the games.

I kind of remember Alabama being a heavy favorite against lil ole Clemson a time or two.
