Lot to ask of a kid mentally and physically to lose his senior year and come in and compete and play. Lots of difference between a 16/17 year old and 18/19 year old.

I find the whole thing confusing.
So he was held back at some point but did well enough to graduate early?
Maybe it was when he was young and he matured, but the whole thing seems weird to me.

With his family moving from Opelika to the Columbia area he would've had to go to a new school where he didn't know anybody. If faced with the decision to do that or go ahead and start college, I'd probably choose the latter.

What if find funny is he didn't want to be separated from his family for the year. Did he ever think that after a couple of subpar years at USuC his dad will be leaving for a job somewhere else. Seeing Muskrat will be fired and his entire staff will be as well. I guess he could always transfer to the next school his dad coaches at. Go Tigers

It's a weak year for recruiting in SC, so Muschamp is going to take everybody who has even the slightest chance to be a D1 player and say that he owns the state.
Then next year, which will be a very strong year for recruiting in the state, we'll see who the real owner is.

Sign all the 3 stars and put up plaques of every in state school they've visited inside the stadium.LO
As to the knucklhead above claiming what great recruiters the staff have been. They have been, at schools that normally recruit well. Schools like Auburn,UGA,TX and Florida recruit themselves,USuC is three star land ,with the only real stars being in state,low GPA or family ties.
That's your history, recruiters like Brad Scott,Lou Holtz or Steve Spurrier couldn't change that.

You also need a brand to sell. That they don't have. They were always able to hang their hats on the fact they brought in great coaches to die. Muschamp is seriously a chump even the players at Florida are glad he is gone. On the bright side, he can't make things anyworse.lol

Their latest QB Savior hasn't lit it up in Spring Ball. Getting Jake in,even if they RS him,has him ready for next season. After the Coots bomb next year, Jake could go somewhere else if he were still in HS.
