Wasn't 100% serious, but most people gain more from the academic experience at a college as opposed to sports....maybe he values sports over an education....who knows?

Texas, UGA, UF, and Vandy more than hold their own academically. Clemson Engineering and other schools would be a nice addition to the SEC.

area. Give me the South. BC and Syracuse was always a wash. No natural rivalries and a heck of a way from Clemson. Bring back our annual rivalry with UGA. The best!

I don't have a problem with either. Strictly sports based the SEC is better because of travel especially for baseball. Financially Fox is the better option. I am concerned about the long term viability of an ESPN contract considering the downturn Disney has undergone. Secondly ESPN is struggling to find an outlet for its content outside of traditional cable. Fox has the flexibility provided by OTA TV plus a cable and independent streaming outlet.

These conferences have zero and I mean zero to do with academics. They were created for sports. Have you ever heard of a B1G physics bowl champ? No. This is all about sports and even more so about football.

would obviously make the most sense from a geographical standpoint. BUTT, and it is a HUGE FAT BUTT, the BIG would be a MUCH easier conference to win, year in and year out. That is all, carry on.

The historic, geographic rivalries of the SEC are much more conducive to producing great football games every year for Clemson, and that is what this is all about after you filter through the dollars. Academics is another ball of wax and is not determined by which conference you are in.
