Technically, T5 but having the 6 seed due to losing tiebreakers. That *is* slightly better than the 7th place finish that Brownell's teams average.
One game above .500 in the conference.
Tied with Syracuse, who is playing under a 1st year head coach with no head coaching experience before being hired at Syracuse.
Behind a UNC team that is coached by a man who is in his 3rd year EVER of being a head coach (zero HC experience before being hired for the UNC job), who's first team ever played in NCAA championship game and now has won ACC regular season title and all 3 teams have 20+ win seasons and two NCCA berths. Yes, the team got fired up enough to actually beat UNC at UNC for the 2nd time ever.
Behind a Duke team that is coached by a man who is in his 2nd year EVER of being a head coach (zero HC experience before being hired for the Duke job), who's first team ever won the ACCT and both teams have 20+ wins and NCAAT berths.
Behind a UVA team who's HC was hired a year before Brownell was hired at Clemson. Originally inheriting the worst UVA team since 1967, his Cavaliers have had four 30-win seasons, won the NCAA tournament championship with a 35–3 team in 2019, won ACC tournaments in 2014 and in 2018, and have won or shared 6 ACC regular season titles. 12 of his 15 teams have 20+ wins, 2 have 30+, nine NCAAT berths (COVID took a 10th).
Of course, Tony Bennett makes about $2M more than Brownell, so all we have to do is pay Brownell $2M more per year?
Behind a Pitt team that Clemson did beat, twice, but which otherwise still managed to win more ACC conference games than Clemson. Pitt beat Duke at Duke. Pitt beat UVA at UVA. Pitt beat NCSU, Notre Dame, Ga Tech...
But Brownell has once again managed to accomplish the bare minimum set before him to retain his job, so we can all look forward to the same movie next year, and again, and again.
Well, not the exact same movie.
More like how several of the Star Wars movies are really the same movie, one or two really entertained, but some were just crap.

6th place in a league that may only get 4 tournament bids.

Mind boggling how this underachiever is still at Clemson after 14 years. If it were football he would be long gone.
