I think I'm one of the few people here who actually likes the purple uniforms. I know Dabo wants to create a consistent image, but I think the Georgia game needs to be exception. If anybody remembers the GT game, they know the power of these jerseys. They hype the crowd and the players up, and make the run down the hill even better. I'm not saying we wear them on regular basis, but just wear them on huge game days in the valley.

If Furman was playing Georgia, purple jerseys might be in order. At Clemson, we wear ORANGE. If we still have purple jerseys in the archives, I wish somebody would pull them out and burn them. Save a few for no-hit QB practice jerseys.

After what I consider an unbelievable performance against a Top 10 LSU team that had 8 of its 11 starting defenders drafted to the NFL this year, our guys made their guys look like kids. Clemson took a couple of body blows at the start of each half, an all-out invitation to fold, and they kept the heat on LSU until they were begging for mercy.
To turn around after that and open the next season against a Top 10 rival Georgia in Death Valley at night SCREAMS "All Orange." Not my call and I don't get too wrapped up in such things, but if ever there was a reason for it, this is it in my opinion.
Of course, maybe Dabo wants to change the mindset to say that wins like that are now expected at Clemson. I dunno. That's why he's the coach, and I'm on a message board.
