David Beasley and Shaq Anthony suspension for breaking a team rule. Has no one heard what rule was violated that led to these two guys being suspended?

And I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to spread a rumor but I heard it was something related to weed. I don't want to get flamed for saying that, just letting you know what a friend told me that attends clemson and is close with the football team.

It sucks that two bone heads made a choice that could effect the entire team in one of our biggest games to start the season. I just wish that Dabo would have come up with a punishment that would have only effected them. Thanks!!!

"VIOLATION OF TEAM RULES"

If anyone doesn't know what that means by now, then they have been living as a hermit in the dark. I would say most if not all college students smoke marijuana. It only comes to light when a student athlete fails a urinalysis. Even some of the more respected players that may be your favorite player actually does smoke marijuana. To me, it is not a big deal, but for some others if you knew who on this Clemson football team who did smoke, then you would walk away with a broken heart. Still love my Tigers and I would never rat anyone out. After all they aren't kids anymore. They are grown men. So you make a choice then prepare to live with the consequences of your actions.

David Hood: Why doesn't Oliver Jones' name come up?
Aug 1, 2014, 9:52 AM

He was a must have guy during his recruiting cycle. Also, Nuk made a great catch on the 4th and 16 play against LSU, BUT David Hood why no mention of Adam Humphries in your list of who could be the go-to reciever? He was wide open on that 4th and 16 play. AND, have you ever seen him drop a pass? Go back and wat ch the OSU game and only watch him, he blocks 2 and 3 different guys on every play that the ball doesn't go to him.

Oliver Jones was recruited as a tackle and then moved inside to guard. He had off-season surgery which has probably set him back some (I think it was a broken ankle), but he's never been higher than 3rd on the depth chart to my knowledge.
He's just a redshirt Sophomore though, so he has time to crack the lineup if he pushes himself.

Now you keep away from that Steve Spurrier.. He is of the devil. We need to know every detail of how that Clemson foozeball is coming. Don't hold any punches and make sure you let us know line by line who is doing well in the game of foozeball.
Signed,
Chesty

interested to see how Hopper does upon his return

If Peake can't go 100%, we're going to need to find somebody else to be a playmaker. Hopper certainly has the skills and talent to do it, but it remains to be seen whether he'll apply himself the way he needs to.

Bleed Orange09, Unless you have seen paperwork on the suspension, please don't repeat 2nd 3rd or 4th hand information from unconfirmed sources. It could become a media circus and bring a bad light on the team as a whole. Hope everyone stays healthy with no injuries and bring on the Dawgs. GO TIGERS !!!

I see your point but who in the media is going to make a big deal about this? I would say about 60% if college football players smoke pot. I know we don't want our tigers to but they are still young and if one player it's doing it then there are most likely more who are following. It really isn't it that big of a deal, the media just makes it out to be. I'm not mentioning any names but I know plenty of others who have smoked while playing football at clemson. It something that's always been around and always will be around.
