If you haven’t yet, grab a bottle of Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve. Nectar of the Gods, especially if you can find a store pick. Was a little skeptic, but wow what a great bourbon.

I’m used to Beam or Jack with Coke or Ginger.
So really good bourbon is not necessary. If I ever go back to neat I will check it out.

Jack Daniels.... is not bourbon. He referenced bourbon. Jack is Tennessee Whiskey. Sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine.

Have a group of 6 that go to Sturgis every year and we have a bring the best you can find Bourbon contest. Two years ago we outlawed Knob Creek as it always won. One of the guys has let it be known that he got his hands on a bottle of Pappy 12 and I'm more exited about that than riding my scooter. We told our Maine member he could bring his KC again this year. Will post results in August.

I've tried Knob Creek, but Mitcher's, Blanton's, Colonel Taylor's,and Jack Daniels Single Barrel are big time hits too. I've been more of a Cognac guy lately and my poison of choice has been Remy 1738... Hard to beat it.

I found these in an article about bartenders choices of bourbon
Poor Man’s Pappy
60 percent Old Weller Antique 107
40 percent W.L. Weller 12 Year
Another blend recommended
67 percent Maker’s Mark Cask Strength
33 percent Larceny
I haven't tried the 1st one or any Weller, but the second is pretty good. I also like the Larceny by itself too.
