tonight.
I think it is appropriate to drink some fine scotch in preparation for the first time our Tigers will run down the hill with a number one ranking.

Is a blended scotch worth the price of JW Blue?

Forget two fingers. Give me at least three and just a few ice cubes...no water!

Have you ever tried Balvenie Caribbean Cask? It is scotch aged in old rum barrels. Can't find it everywhere, but I like it as well. Someone mentioned Blantons. Pretty good stuff too. I don't run into many scotch fans. I think I need to fix a glass now

If you're wanting smooth, then go with Dalwhinnie.

Even the label says, "The Gentle Spirit".
It's a 15 yr single malt and runs $45-$60, depending where you buy. One of the best values out there. It's just as smooth (at least to me) as JW Blue for a fraction of the price.
A lot of scotch drinkers agree that this is a good "intro" into scotch.

I'm going with Blantons now too. Love scotch too. I go with Highland Park 12 year, Talisker 10 year and Bowmore 12 year. I like it smokey.

For the flavor of peat, I too like Talisker.

Highland Park is terrific for the price. Blanton's is THE bourbon of choice for native Louisvillians, and they should know. Right now I'm into Old Weller's. If you can find it (Buffalo Trace antique collection product), it's "baby Pappy" in the sense that it's a wheated version of the base whisky aged for Pappy. I too will partake in honor... GO TIGERS!!!!

Chivas Regal 25 yr is better scotch than JWBlue. A little pricey but smooth as water.
