With this video proof, I now understand his comment from a few years ago stating that he can't get any food he likes in Clemson!! He certainly has a different taste preference than I do!!!!!!
Typical "acid mouthed, opinionated" Yankee!!!!!

Boeheim is a whiner, but on this he's right. Consider the ACC footprint, which includes Boston, New York, DC, Atlanta, Miami and other fine cities. It's ok to leave Mayberry once in a while.

need be, but that was as classless as about anything he could say considering he is the head coach at a major university and not to mention an adult. Go to another school or quit if you don't like the ACC Jim, or you could always just shut up and not say anything to keep from embarrassing you, your staff, your team, and your university which writes your paycheck.

Playing tourney basketball in Greensboro is to the North Carolina ACC schools, as playing the ACC football Championships in Clemson would be to the SC ACC school. Coach needs to understand...his only function WRT the ACC is to show up and lose. The "city" of Greensboro has consumed mass quantities of the ACC cool aide.

What does Syracuse bring to the ACC? Anyone? Football sucks and has for a long time. Baseball, they do not even play. Basketball, when they are good, boeheim is usually under investigation. Really wish we would have looked at other schools than Boston and Syracuse

I can't stand Boeheim, but he is exactly right on this one.

ACC is way too intertwined with the state of NC. This isn't your father's ACC where half of the teams were from NC and the remaining ones were within a few hours of NC. The conference now stretches all along the east coast and there is no reason to have any tournaments in Greensboro.
I'm okay having certain championships in Charlotte from time to time, but only if it is part of a rotation which also includes other cities in other regions.

Although in this particular case, I see his point. The only advantage to playing in Greensboro is to give Duke and UNC (and NC State and Wake, to a lesser extent) a home court.

he could have had a better choice of words. I can see why he would rather play in Brooklyn over no-where-ville North Carolina (cheaper travel, of course ). As for the city of Greensboro, nice burn, but really, what else do you have as revenue if the ACC wasn't there? Sounds like saltiness on both ends.

the area, but I don't think one venue should dominate the conference tournament.
The Syracuse coach reassured everyone he is still bitter and still a jerk.

I have to agree with him. As already said, time to think bigger. What's not to like? Our conference tourney is being played on the biggest stage and one of the larger media markets in the country. It pushes the ACC brand and in turn pushes the Clemson brand. This is huge exposure and only helps Dabo and company recruit nationwide.
