Sorry, but our biggest problem is not disagreement.
Our biggest problem is that Fox News and Donald Trump have successfully executed a fabulous con job on 42% of the American Public.
Do you guys understand what kind of slob Donald Trump is?
If this guy was a local businessman in your community, you wouldn’t give him the time of day. You would not vote for him to be dog catcher.
Do you know that everybody on this politics board has better credit than Donald Trump.
No US banks have given him a loan since 2001. US Banks watched him operate his business by filing thousands of lawsuits. He would not pay his subcontractors. He would just sue them and settle for a lesser amount thousands of times.
So now he lives off of the money that you guys send him as political donations. He doesn’t make any money from his real estate business. He just took out lots of loans and screwed people.
His real estate business was never a very big business. A lot of people in TigerNet own businesses much bigger than Donald Trump‘s business was when he was at his peak - 50 employees.
The dude is a sexual predator and a convicted felon. Most of you Trumpers aren’t even aware of the realities of January 6 because Fox News won’t show it to you. But what Trump did leading up to January 6 and on January 6 is pure scum anti- american scum.
He sent a mob to attack law enforcement, and American politicians, left and right.
There’s no way this guy should even be a candidate for any office at any level in the United States of America. Pure POS.
Lock him up.

The left has a walking corpse who can’t finish a sentence, and in your mind it’s only those rubes on the right who have been conned. The first step in any dehumanization strategy is to make a portion of a population believe another portion of the population is inferior in intelligence and/or morality. Congrats. You’ve swallowed that bait whole.

“The first step in any dehumanization strategy is to make a portion of a population believe another portion of the population is inferior in intelligence and/or morality.”
Seems there are a plethora of posts questioning the intelligence and morality of Liberals and Democrats yet the outrage or emotional pushback seems selective _ limited to one side.
Perhaps consistency in moral judgment is virtuous? Just a thought?

It’s why I’ve gone out of my way over the years to point out to leftists that I’m debating with that I don’t think they’re evil or ill-intentioned, I just think they’re wrong. My answer was a fair response to the POV of the person I was just talking to, and isn’t mooted in the least by the fact that I agree it’s becoming a divisive strategy du jour across the ideological spectrum. Maybe if we start identifying it we can all stop being useful idiots.

It’s not a matter of education or intellect.
It’s a matter of Fox News and Donald Trump 10 years ago deciding that they were going to con X percent of the population.
It turned out to be pretty easy. It’s not because y’all s are uneducated or lack intellect, it’s simply that Trumpers are gullible and intellectually vulnerable.

There is zero self awareness. It's sad, but I believe we have a generation who has come of age with social media, and don't remember any other way, and then others who are from an older generation like me, and just can't deal with the changing world.
Disagreement is normal, and healthy, spirited debate is a good thing. Viewing everything through a political prism which only divides and causes anger and hate is neither normal, healthy, or a good thing.
"Right-leaning libertarian who believes in the ideas of individual rights and freedoms as espoused by our founders" may not be 100% accurate, but that's about about as close as I can get to describing my political beliefs. I have no party allegience. My point is, I have friends and family members who are straight, gay, fundamentalist and progressive Christians, muslims, atheists, MAGAs, liberal democrats, socialists, alcoholics, doctors, lawyers, politicians, manual laborers, ex-military, and so on, and none are banned from my house or from my table for being any of those things. They are all intelligent, good people. If you are angry, disrespectful, or an ahole, stay away.
Stand up for what you believe and voice your opinion, by all means. But be respectful and try to get along with your fellow Americans. You have things in common with them that are more important than your differences.

Ignoring the sequence of posts in this thread misleads one into misassessment

It is important to point out the sequence of posts in this thread to provide the necessary context about the inapplicability of the ‘both sides reveal zero self-awareness’ statement in this case.
The first post from SolidOrange89 transformed a mildly political first post by p6fuller® that highlighted the communications between MAGA attendees at the Trump rally as being kind and thoughtful with the on-the-scenes ER doctor.
Instead of contemplating the circumstances in which the doctor’s kindly comments about those MAGA rally attendees, SolidOrange was obviously subsumed with partisan political sentiments and could not refrain from making a long, detailed attack diatribe through he vented his emotions. His was not some spur of the moment response a la bengaline. Rather, SolidOrange’s first post required thoughtful cognition in order to articulate his emotional political partisanship.
Indeed, there are plenty of times on TNet when brief back-and-forth jabs take place. Those threads are essentially smack talk. Smack talk gets under some TNetters’ skin, but should serve as an anonymous means for the ‘smack talk loser’ to have better arguments (funnier lines also) when the next episode occurs.
IMO, this thread, however, did not exemplify a ‘both sides do it equally’ display of political discourse.
My apologies for beating this point to death via the long-ish post.

But try to wrap your head around this fact: A lot of good, very intelligent people disagree with you.
Do you guys understand what kind of slob Donald Trump is?
For the record, I am not a Trump supporter/"you guys", and I don't get my news from FOX.
