Per Brett McMurphy
there are "handful of schools" besides Notre Dame that would add value to Big Ten. Sources said other schools being considered by Big Ten: Oregon, Washington, Stanford, Cal, Miami & Florida State

Well, what's for sure is that Clemson isn't moving out, yet.

We are slow & solid with ACC UNTIL we see where we will surely die if the $ dry up to compete.

Wrong…the only thing the big 10 needs at this point is a presence in Florida…the only knock on the big 10 is the weather…In every other category they are at the top compared to all others…Florida schools would give them climate also and let’s face it…a lot of big 10 team supporters retire to Florida…in a weird way Myrtle Beach is our only hope as all of the Ohio and Pennsylvania people either have moved here or vacay here!!!

I sure hope the B10 adds Cal, Stanford and UW. If TV execs will pay for those dregs, we will be in good shape. Also, how much does UCLA really add? They are in the LA mkt, but nobody watches them - I’m calling out you Syracuse, Pitt and BC. See how much value the ACC is generating in those big population tv markets! Short answer, not a lot.

The reports are that those 4 schools would receive

a smaller share than other schools but it would be more money than current TV deal.
Makes me think Big 10 already inked its deal and current member schools don’t want to give up too much to add another school.
Kind of worried that may end up being scenario with Clemson if it were to find a way out of ACC. I can’t imagine a scenario where SEC schools will give up too much to add a school. It’s about TV’s. SEC already in SC.

Supposedly, it’s in the SEC contract that “top” new members will receive a pro rata share with no reduction for existing members. I imagine ESPN will have significant input as to who qualifies as “top”.

Seems like the Big 10 and the SEC would be the only real options.

We are SEC bound, it’s already a done deal in my opinion. The breakout plan is coming as the SEC is just waiting on the Big10 to make their move.
