They're currently 29-7, but of their losses, all but one were to UCLA, Alabama, Oklahoma St, Oklahoma, and Duke - pretty much the teams from the last 2 World Series' lineups. They've played a heckuva schedule so far.
I'm curious as to other stats that some of you with more time on your hands can dig up this week to get a better comparison of our program and theirs. Really hoping our girls will play their best games of the season this weekend. And hopefully they got their fielding errors out of their system Friday evening. We have an immensely talented team in all aspects of the game. Time to put it all on the big stage, and really glad we have them at home. Time to pack out McWhorter!

We really need to get our bats going and be patient at plate. Not going to get the freebie walks like we've been getting. One glaring stat is the number lob. Not going to hurt us with cuse and bc. I'm sure they're as dialed in and pumped more than we are. Need to score 10 in the first against Furman and then give the starters a break.

First time we're getting them at home, though. A series win will put this team in the driver's seat for Another Clemson Championship.
FSU has one of the best pitchers in the nation in Sandercock.
Also, their coach Lonni Alameda was an assistant under John Rittman for seven years at Stanford.

Our schedule in the ACC hasn’t been too rough so far. FSU is a different deal. If we could somehow take 2 of 3 I’d be very happy. Can’t get swept like last year. We are a much better defensive team this year. Cagle should keep us in two games if we can get some timely hits.

Weather is going to be interesting. Since Thursday and Friday are national broadcasts they have some limitations on working around the rain. Plus they have Furman Wednesday night. My guess is they will need to move Saturday’s game to earlier Thursday and try to get a doubleheader in. Hopefully Spencer and/or McCubbin do well against Furman to keep Cagle and Thompson fresh for Thursday games.
