Playing at the highest level in So Cal isn’t an easy task either and DJ shined. I truly don’t think we’ve seen the best of DJ and that gives us a good problem to have!

I hope you are right!
I just would love to hear how DJ went from throwing 439yds against ND last year and this year he could barely throw over 100yds in a game. What happened?

Confidence, pressure, felt he had nothing to lose. If he plays with that same edge he will produce. I feel it was clear as day that he was thinking instead of throwing. He’s nowhere near as bad as we claim sometimes.
And a DAMM fine young man at that. That being said, if CK comes in hot, dabo will not hesitate to play him. He has a lot to prove this year.

in all fairness I thought the same thing about dj
i still think there is a great qb in there somewhere
this season was a head scratcher on several levels

Love DJ, he has been a great rep for Clemson and has a great attitude and obviously has a cannon arm. Every single other thing needed to play QB at this level needs much work-the kind of work that doesn’t pay off until he is a 5th yr senior type situation. Same as so many other QB’s we see performing at a high level all over the country in every division after sucking and underperforming for 3-4 yrs. Question is, does he stay healthy and stick with it and does he peak with us? He’s clearly not a candidate to win a starting spot over neither Klubnik nor 5 other QB’s in the portal I can name right now from Nix on, should we need more than he can give us.
