worse…any Friday night. Friday night should be reserved for high school. I don’t have a problem with Thursday night games as long as Clemson is not one of them. Best time is 3:30 Saturday. Since Clemson is in the upstate it’s a pain in the butt for us Greenville fans but I can’t imagine what it’s like for Columbia and especially Charleston fans. Same with 7:00 pm games. What time do you Columbia and Charleston folks get home.

Rankings are different for me if I'm watching on TV, vs being there in person. Either way, the excitement drop off a LOT after the 3rd choice for either.
Watching on TV
1) Sat, 7:30-8pm
2) Sat, 3:30
3) Sat, 12-1pm
4) Thur, 7:30 (at this point, I hate if we're playing, but I like watching other teams play)
5) Fri, 7:30 (at this point, I hate if we're playing, but I like watching other teams play)
At the game
1) Sat, 3:30
2) Sat, 7:30-8pm
3) Sat, 12-1pm
4) Fri, 7:30
5) Thur, 7:30

I love a Thursday or Friday night game on the road as I can watch the game on TV and have a free weekend to do other stuff. Most people do not go to high school football games so not sure why that is an issue for an away game.
Watching on TV I like the 3:30 or noon kicks.
If going to DV, in order, 3:30 then noon hen night games. While the excitement of a night game in DV is electric, getting home at 2:30 AM not so much

Growing up in Kingstree, it was exactly 220 miles from our house to Daddys parking spot. This was in the 70s and 80s. We left home at 530am, stopped in Newberry and ate breakfast, and usually arrived at the Valley around 10 to 1030. The 0ne Oclock games were by far the easiest for us. Danny Ford told the crowd at an Iptay meeting in Florence that he preferred the One games because he understood the travel involved for those in the lower part of the state! Time and television have changed all of this, but, there is still nowhere I would rather be! O how I would love one more game to enjoy with Daddy!

Driving from Florence as a kid - Newberry was where we took a break too - usually grabbed something to eat..
That bring backs memories for sure…

I graduated from Clemson in 1964 and have never lived in South Carolina since I moved to the Tar Heel State.
Shortly after graduation I missed several games for “economic” reasons but as I became more established I missed very few home games and still find my way down the Blue Ridge every Saturday. Night games are murder for me now. Being on the road at midnight isn’t as much fun at 83 as it was at 33!!!
No more night games please.

Depending on where you park it's different. Noon games are tougher to get into because so many are arriving near the same time. Night games are harder to get out of because so many are leaving at the same time.

I like 3:30- driving up early with less traffic and more time before the game for lunch and socializing. Noon cuts down on both - no time for lunch-. Night games are good except for being late getting home
