I can certainly see either scenario playing out for both teams. Not quite sure what you're implying, except to say the analysis is generic... but I felt both arguments were similar in projections but for different reasons.
I do agree it doesn't take long deep thought to equate a good/bad season is highly dependent on qb play. But I also agree with the statement that we can no longer play bad and still beat teams like we did last decade. We won convincingly with KB and most defenses knew what we were running.
We have good players, just not as many as we had last decade. It is troublesome that we've taken such step backwards in recruiting and development. No longer a consensus top 12 team. We were that before our natty run.

we could easily finish 8-4/7-5. The schedule is more difficult this year than last year IMO.

is more difficult to gauge. If i had to guess I'd say our ceiling is around 10-2 barring a truly miraculous leap on that side of the ball.
