Just think, with Bellamy's problems, we now have Demont Buice and an open field to show us his stuff!

Are you serious...the deal was never on the table. Only thing on the table was the free meal he was coming for. The "All In Cafe" was closed.

at the moment. Can't afford to redshirt him as thin as we are at RB. Would be nice if Dabo and company can get two RBs in this recruiting class.

We're three deep. Who else has three solid backs?

USC has 5 and that's before freshmen report. I think if Ellington stays healthy Clemson will be fine at RB this year, though.

You are right. I'd give USC 4 solid (or better than solid) backs, not including incoming freshmen.. Lattimore, Wilds, Miles, and Carson. Davis may be something, but it will be tough for a freshman to beat those 4 for playing time.

I'm just telling you what is there for 2012. Lattimore is back. miles was the starter before Lattimore came to school and had several good games after coming back from injury last year. Wilds went for over 100 yds vs Tenn and played weel in other games. Carson was the number 2 back before his injury. All are back healty this year. Like I said, 4 solid running backs.

Miles is a solid back. Had a 100+ game against Clemson in 2009. Didn't in 2011, but didn't need to when the QB did. He's a tough runner...not a homerun threat.
Lattimore has only one rivalry game and wasn't impressive, but the fact that he was on the field and the fact that the D was committed to stopping the run opened up the passing game and there were some big ones at that.
Carson, who knows. He is supposedly talented but haven't seen anything. Wilds is pretty solid for a Freshman.
Yes, Scar has three RBs that are solid. With a running QB that has a 70% completion rate, that is an efficient offense. They don't have a high powered ones that will put 50 on the board and I don't believe that they will be able to do it this year, even with Lattimore back, but they have solid playmakers and can drain a clock. Their D is scary as well.
Sammy is a great receiver...one of the best in the country, but mark my words: He will not have the same type of year this year as last year because D's will scheme for him. That will open up other avenues for other players to get the ball.

Clemson doesn't have any proven depth behind Ellington IMO.
I have also heard talk about wanting to get more of the WRs involved. (since they have so much depth at WR)
Perhaps one of them would be more of an asset at RB. It seems to me that Humphries is small for a D1 WR.
