Beginning to think that it is not coaching but recruiting

That is making our receivers look pedestrian. I looked up Dacri Collins stats at NC State and he only has three catches for 45 yards.
We are not getting the talent that we used to get at WR. But they also are not improving from week to week. So maybe the problem is both recruiting and coaching.

It’s both. But missed evaluations on recruits is on the staff as well. Remember A. Williams was a fall back option on our recruiting board. Not sure this staff is as good at spotting and translating high school talent to college success as 5 yrs ago. We used to find plenty of 3 stars that blossomed in addition to 4 stars. However, this current freshman class may have reversed the trend, but the staff has to develop them and keep them from transferring out.

I wonder if there might be some shared event that might have might led recruits in a certain period of time to appear less developed than in previous seasons?

We used to get 2/3 stars and walk-ons that won championships. Now we got 4 and 5 stars that can't get open against Duke.

I can’t think of one productive WR other than Hunter who was not at least a 4 star recruit on our teams that went to the playoffs.
Who am I missing? Overton and Powell were four stars.

Hunter Renfrow and Adam Humphries are the only none 4/5 star WR that have been stars in the Dabo era***
